Philippa Fisher’s Fairy Godsister is a book about a 11
year old girl called Philippa who really does not like the way things are going
in her life. Her parents are the strangest people around, and she is very shy,
so she does not have any friends. But worst of all, her bestest friend of all
time is moving far into the country side, so there is no calling, skyping, and
they will barely be able to send letters either. But there is still hope, for
Daisy the “fairy godsister” is going
to arrive. But of course there is a catch. Read the book to find out the entire
story of Daisy and Philippa on their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
journey together.
I liked this book because it is exciting, surprising, and
tells the story from both girls point of view. Many stories don’t do that. It
is an amazing way of telling how they think magic works. I think that 4th,
and 5th graders might like this book.
If you liked
this book, you may also like Tail of Emily Windsnap, or Philippa
Fisher and the Dream-Maker’s Daughter (both by Liz Kessler).
